Waiters Needed: An Night of Three One Acts

November 2016

On the 8 & 9th of November Shoreline presented Divas with a night of three diverse one acts which were all connected by the theme of their characters waiting for something.

In All By Myself by Robert Scott a man trapped on a desert Island has to wait for rescue with and from a collection of weirdos and oddballs.

In Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter, the hitmen Ben and Gus must wait around for their target in a claustrophobic and boring room whilst strange orders descend from the Dumb Waiter above.

Finally there was Hello Darkness My Old Friend by Sue Wilding which centred around the loss of a father, waiting for his son on the park bench where they last saw each other.
