Vagina Monologues 2016

February 2016

Each year, thousands of V-Day benefit events take place produced by volunteer activists from around the world. These efforts have raised consciousness, changed laws to protect women and girls, funded rape crisis centers and domestic violence shelters (in many cases these much-needed funds kept them from closing), educated their communities, and raised millions of urgently needed funds for groups doing the essential work of ending violence and serving survivors and their families.

With this in mind Shoreline Theatre once again took part in the Obie Award Winning Gathering of Female Voices, the Vagina Monologues. All money raised was given to charity, half to Swansea Women’s Aid and half to Swansea Women’s Centre. It was fantastic to see so many people come out and support such a great cause!
